Networking continues in Washington, DC

On behalf of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, we once again would like to thank those that attended and participated in the 2013 Sampson Perspective. The Sampson Perspective was an avenue for Chamber members and the community to have direct interaction with national, state, and local leaders and elected officials. The Chamber strives to serve as a voice and vehicle for our membership and the local community to reach our local, state, and national representation. While the Sampson Perspective was a great event which served its purpose, the interaction with our elected officials does not end there — we’re off to Washington D.C.
Each year, a group of Chamber members pay their own way and travel to Washington D.C. to continue to cultivate relationships with our elected officials at the 2013 North Carolina Business and Economic Development Summit. This year will be the 17th annual summit and we’re looking forward to another great opportunity to network.
This year’s summit will be held on Monday, Sept. 9 and Tuesday, Sept. 10 in the nation’s capitol. The co-hosts joining Congressman Mike McIntyre for this year’s event include: U.S. Representatives G.K. Butterfield, Renee Ellmers, Walter Jones, Richard Hudson, David Price, George Holding, Robert Pittenger, and Mark Meadows.
The summit includes presentations from Aaron Syrett, director of the NC Film Office as well as an opportunity to learn from The North Carolina Executive Leadership Panel which features CEOs and leaders from major North Carolina companies. An official briefing by the hosting North Carolina U.S. Representatives which features U.S. Representatives McIntyre, Butterfield, Ellmers, Jones, Hudson, Price, Holding, Pittenger, and Meadows which gives us the opportunity to continue to serve as the voice for our members and ask those pressing questions which impact the business community each and every day.
Through this event of uniting small business owners from across the state, each of us will have the opportunity to network, collaborate, and discuss common legislative and management concerns.
We are looking forward to yet another great event and opportunity to continue serving as the voice for the members of the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce.
