The House of Prayer in Faison will have prayer every Thursday night — including Thursday, Jan 23 — from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. All are welcome.


On Saturday, Jan. 25, at 8:30 a.m., the annual Activity Day will be held for Kemba at the Duplin Expo Center in Kenansville. The special guests are The Renowned Gospel Singers, and Jekalyn Carr of Memphis, Tenn. will be the motivational speaker. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Sunday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. First Missionary Baptist Church in Bowden will celebrate the 14th anniversary of their pastor, the Rev. Harold Jr. Boykin. The guest pastor will be the Rev. Ray Bolton, choir and congregation of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton. Lunch will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m. the special guests for the evening will be the Rev. Willie Bowden Sr., and congregation of Olivet Institutional Baptist Church in Clinton. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.


Sunday, Jan. 26, at 11:30 a.m., regular morning worship service will be held at Greater Mt. Calvary Holiness Church in Clinton. The guest speaker, Minister Lucille Lewis, will bring forth the message, and the Faison family will render the music. The host pastor is the Rev.Ruby T. Boykin. Everyone is welcome.

Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church will not have service Sunday, Jan. 26 due to another service. Church will resume on Sunday,Feb 2, at 11 a.m. The host pastor is the Rev. Alice Jean Boykin.

The Annual Martin Luther King rehearsal will be held on Monday, Jan. 27, Feb. 3, and Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at Union Star Freewill Baptist Church in Clinton. Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m., the Pastor Aide of Snowhill M.B. Church is sponsoring The Love Banquet. The guest speaker for the evening is Elder Eddie Parker of Mingle Hill Disciples of Christ Church in Salemburg. Everyone is welcome.


Missionaries on a Mission Program with 100 Ladies in Red or White will be held Sunday, Feb. 2, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Elder Shirley C. Melvin, and the Howard Family Choir will render the music this year. We are asking all men to come out and support these lovely ladies. Leslie Matthews, choir and congregation of Unity Christian Center in Fayetteville; Wednesday, Feb. 5, guest speaker is Bishop D.W. Elliott, choir and congregation of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Wade; Thursday, Feb. 6, guest speaker is the Rev. Bernard Hamilton, choir and congregation of Friendship Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Raeford; and Friday, Feb.7, guest speaker is the Rev. Jeffery White, choir and congregation of Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton.
