William Scott “Billy” Prestage recently held a ribbon cutting at the Clinton-Sampson Airport to dedicate the sign he completed for his Eagle Scout project.

Members of the Airport Authority were present for the event.

The teen erected a sign in front of the airport terminal to “welcome” people to the Clinton-Sampson Airport. It is complete with the 911 address. It is informational, as well as a beautification project to the local airport. The sign proudly displays a jet on top to show the types of airplanes seen flying in and out of the local airport.

Prestage is a member of Troop 27 and is sponsored by Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church.

On Aug. 7, he was awarded his Eagle Scout from Boy Scouts of America. He is a sophomore at Harrells Christian Academy and the son of Scott and Joy Prestage.
