Arrests
• Jan. 19 — Soloman Jamel Hickmond, 30, of 519 Gibbs Road, was charged with assault on a female. Bond set at $2,000; court date is Feb. 2.
• Jan. 19 — Talina Hoyle, 28, of 1100 Mill Creek Church Road, Roseboro, was charged with simple physical assault. Written promise; court date is Feb. 5.
Incidents/investigations
• Jan. 19 — Joshua Campbell of Faison reported a break-in and numerous items stolen, including two firearms, ammunition, a camera and bag, as well as a TV and a safe. Items valued at $2,150. Damage to windows estimated at $200.
• Jan. 20 — Faith Academy of Clinton was victim in a theft, in which a computer, monitor and printer were stolen from the school. Items valued at $800.
