The 4th annual “Walk 4 Wellness” event will be held Saturday morning, May 3, in the parking lot of the dental offices of CommWell Health, 1480 Maple Grove Church Road, Dunn. Everyone is invited to come out and join in the excitement of this walk/run event, organizers said.


This year the event will feature a 5K (3.1 mile) fun run in addition to the relay-style walk. Registration for the run is 7:30 a.m. with a start time of 8 a.m. at a cost of $20 per runner. Registration for the walk is at 9 a.m., with the walking relay from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m.; cost is $50 per team of seven walkers (or $7 per walker). The fun run will take place along Maple Grove Church Road from the dental offices to Oak Grove Church Road and back. The relay-style walk will take place in the parking lot of the CommWell dental office. Proceeds for this year’s Walk 4 Wellness will help purchase a covered outdoor area the men can use during inclement weather to get some exercise and be in the fresh air.
