Prayer meeting and Bible study is held every Wednesday at 11 a.m. and every Friday at 7 a.m. at Point Level DOC Church.

Prayer and Bible study is held every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the House of Prayer in Faison.

On Aug. 6-7, at 7:30 nightly, youth revival is held at St. Luke UHC in Rosehill. The guest is Minister Nicole Hodges of First MBC in Turkey accompanied by First Baptist Choir.

Wed. Aug. 6-8 at 7:30 nightly, Goshen Evangelistic Team is having a tent revival at 88 Holiday Lane, Newton Grove. The guest on Wednesday is Evangelist Shirley Devone; Thursday and Friday is- Evangelist Gail Lamb. Various choirs will render the music.

Saturday, Aug. 9, Snowhill MBC, Roseboro summer trip ministries will travel to the Lion’s Water Adventure Park in Kinston.

Saturday, Aug. 9, 1 p.m. The youth dept. at Brown’s Chapel will sponsor a Back to School fun day program.

Saturday, Aug. 9, at 4 p.m. First MBC in Roseboro, is having a Back to School Rally. The theme is: Making Preparation. The guest speaker is Dr. Tremayne Johnson of New Port News, Va. The musical guests are: D-Rock puppets, praise dancers and flag dancers. The youth choir will render the music. After the service, school supplies will be given out.

The Western Assembly DOC Churches will have their Floral Auxiliary Convention Saturday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. at the Headquarter Building on Hwy 701 S. Newton Grove. Our motto is: Blooming For Jesus. We are looking forward for your support, your encouragement, your presence and prayers. Mother Carrie Atkinson, president; Eldress Belinda Strickland, vice president.

Happy Birthday to Bonnie Wilkin, who will celebrate her 55th birthday on Sat. Aug 9 with a birthday dinner given by her family.

Sunday, Aug. 10, at 4 p.m. Pastor Aide program is held at St. Jude United Holy Church, Clinton. The guest speaker is Dr. Eddie Robinson, choir and congregation of Mt. Carmal Church, Clinton.

Sunday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m. First MBC will observe homecoming service. The guest pastor, is Elder David Houp, choir and congregation of Harvest of Faith Christian Center in Fayetteville. Dinner will be served following the morning service.

Revival is held at Big Piney Grove MBC on Aug. 11-13 at 7:30 nightly. The guest is Minister Deron McLamb of Bentonville, DOC Church in Four Oaks. Monday, First MBC choir of Turkey. Tuesday, Red Hill MBC choir and Wednesday-Bentonville Church choir.

On Aug. 13-15 at 7:30 p.m. nightly, Dr. Hattie J. Lofton will be at Brown’s MBC.

There will be a plate sale, sponsor by the Howard family choir on Friday Aug. 8 at 11 a.m.- until at the Mingle Hill DOC fellowship hall. On the menu will be fried chicken or baked, fish, green beans or bake beans, cole slaw, potatoes salad, dinner rolls, desserts and tea. Dinners are $7 and combination are $8.50.
