The Wildcat varsity volleyball team got their first conference win on Tuesday, beating Neuse Charter in 3 consecutive sets, 25-13; 25-2; 25-13.

Hobbton head coach Russell Jones was happy with the win and proud of his team.

“We were just more consistant than in our other matches,” he explained. “Melissa Gallegos was our second server in the second game and she came up when the score was 1-2. During her serve rotation we took the lead to 18-2. They had some really nice plays and I enjoyed watching that.”

The Wildcats’ record moves to 1-6 in the conference and they will compete at Rosewood today (Thursday).
