The Lady Wildcats split with the Tigers in volleyball action. Hobbton’s junior varsity won in consecutive sets, 25-21 and 25-12. The James Kenan varsity won in three straight, 25-11, 25-16, and 27-25.

“The JV got into trouble in the first game, but we managed to get past it and get the win,” Hobbton head coach Russell Jones explained. “The varsity played real well in the third set and tied the game up. They even took the lead for a split second, but missed a few opportunities and just couldn’t get the win.”

Hobbton’s JV is now 7-2 in the conference and the varsity is 1-8. They travel to Princeton today (Thursday).
