Coming off a loss to Sampson, the Wildcats got back on track by handing the Midway Raiders a 7-0 defeat.

Hobbton scored six seconds into the match when Jair Sanchez would score off the opening kickoff. Larry Favela scored five minutes later off of an assist from Kevin Chavira to make it 2-0. Licona scored the next two goals, both assisted by Edgar Montes and Sanchez respectfully to make it 4-0 at the half.

The Wildcats got their first goal of the second half from Sanchez, who got an assist from Licona two minutes in. At the nine minute mark, Sanchez shot hit the right post but Asiano Otero, Jr. followed it up for his first goal of the season.

Sanchez got his final goal of the game off of an assist from Licona again to finish the scoring.

“This was Dennis’s best game this season. he was absolutely superb. Jevon Colbert did an outstanding job marking up Midway’s best player to hold him scoreless,” said Hobbton’s Coach Damon Burnett.

Hobbton travels to Union on Thursday for their final match of the season.
