The Clinton High boys varsity basketball team is hoping for a big turn-out of fans to the 2013 Dark Horse Classic on Friday and Saturday night.

The Dark Horses are undefeated so far this season and Clinton head coach Randy Jordan is confident this tournament will give the Clinton fans a lot to cheer about.

“We are really excited to be hosting this tournament. It is an opportunity for us to play in front of our home community two more times. We have a really good field of teams coming in. North Lenoir and Kestrel Heights are athletic, well coached teams, and Northern Durham is led by two Division 1 prospects. We hope that the fans will come out to see some good basketball over the holidays,” he explained.
Northern Durham will go up against Kestrel Heights to start the tournament off at 6 p.m. on Friday night. The Clinton vs. North Lenoir game will follow.
The games begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday with North Lenoir vs. Northern Durham. Clinton will face Kestrel Heights at 6 p.m.
Each team will get a participation plaque, but there will be only one Outstanding Player plaque awarded.
Admission is $6 per day or $10 for a 2-day pass.
