Lakewood’s JV boy’s took down the Rosewood Eagles on Friday with a score of 59-41. Lakewood held the lead in each quarter with scores of 12-7 ;29-19; 45-32; 59-41.


The Leopards did not let the Eagles get past their defensive blocks, while putting points on the board as well.


Lakewood head coach Sylvester Pittman was pleased with the win and said, “ We jumped out to an early lead, and we held on to it. The kids played exceptionally well, and I am very proud of them. It was a little sluggish, but we kept our lead. The kids really executed well in the second half.


The scoring was even for the Leopards with J. Owens putting up 12; K. Jackson, 10 points; K. Bailey, 8; N. Murphy, 9; N. Devane, 6 points; W. Peete, 4; and Z. Tanner with 5 points.


The JV record moves to 2-1 in conference and 5-2 overall. The Leopards well travel to James Kenan on Tuesday.
