Harrell’s Christian Academy girls blew away the visiting Village Christian team on Tuesday. The Crusaders won 59-34.

They took the lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Scoring for each quarter: 16- 7; 26-11;50-19; 59-34

The HCA girls took control with the skill, and the will power to over come each obstacle VCA put in their way.

Crusaders head coach Wayne Cannady was pleased with the way his team played and said ” I thought the game went well, and I felt that our girls played well”.

This was their first game following the Christmas break, and Coach Cannady said, “I’m glad to be back, this is our first game in conference play. Its always good to get that first win in the conference. I have a bunch of seniors that play hard, and this is their last time around so we want to finish strong.”

Harrells had 3 girls scoring in double figures. Leading the pack was Daisha Jordan with 21 points, Anna DeVane with 14 points, and Emily Benton with 11 points.

Adding to the scoreboard was Chloe Campbell with 6 points, Bucky Everette with 4 points, and Christian Campbell with 2 points.

The Crusaders well travel to Fayetteville Christian on Friday, and they now hold an 8-0 overall record and are 1-0 in the conference.
