Harrells Christian Academy hosted Fayetteville Christian school Friday on the hardwood. The JV boys came away with a 50-27 victory, while the varsity girls lost their first game of the season, 49-40.

The JV boys built a 23-16 lead after the opening half and never looked back. They led by as many as 25 before closing out the visitors, 50-27.

Will Huff led the Crusaders with 19 points, and Cody Pruitt added 15.

The varsity girls’ perfect season hopes ended in a heartbreaking loss to Fayetteville Christian. After leading for the entire first half, Harrells fell behind by 5 entering the final quarter. The fourth was full of offense from both teams, but Fayettivlle Christian proved to be too much for the Lady Crusaders.

Leading Harrells were Chloe Campbell with 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Daisha Jordan was also in double figures with 9 points, and Anna DeVane played a nice game all-around, with 8 points, 3 steals, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds.

These games were played during the annual “Pink Out” at Harrells to celebrate breast cancer awareness.
