The Leopard JV boys pounded out the visiting James Kenan team on Tuesday night for the win. The final score was 67-51.


The top scorers for Lakewood were, Jirah Cooper with 16 points; Johnny Owens with 12 points; Nasiem Devane with 8 points; Quamane Williams had 8 points; Nyquan Murphy with 6 points; Zack Tanner with 3 points; Tyquam Murphy with 3 points; Pate Holland with 2 points; and Shyheim Williams had 2 points.


Lakewood’s head coach, Sylvester Pittman, was proud of his team and stated, “It was a very good game. We had the chance to redeem ourselves.I thought our kids were really challenging, and that they played very well. It was a really good ball game. I was very pleased with their effort tonight.”


The Leopards record is now 6-2 in the conference and 8-5 overall.


Lakewood will host Princeton on Thursday.
