Clinton hosted Trask on the softball field Friday evening, as Trask won the game convincingly, 12-0. DeAsia Edwards started on the mound for Clinton, and pitched the ball in the strike zone. However, Clinton’s defense let them down. They had too many throwing errors and fielding errors to ever give themselves a chance. The game ended in 5 innings due to the 10-run rule.

Clinton’s head coach Ashley Slater seemed frustrated at her team’s performance. She stressed how much the errors they made hurt them defensively, and their inability to score was a big detriment to Clinton’s chances.

Clinton is back in action Tuesday, when they host Pender. They are now 0-4 on the season.
