The J.C. Holliday Library and Sampson-Clinton Public Libraries are sponsoring “The Quest to Read More Crew!”

Addie Hodges, team leader and children’s librarian, is encouraging all children ages 5-12 to join her team to learn about medieval, mythology, NC ghosts, dancing and much, much, more! During the months of September, October, and November, Hodges said various activities have been planned at all Sampson County public libraries to challenge kids of all age levels and skills included in the program.

To participate, Quest Crew members will be asked to read 20 books and complete at least five quests. If they succeed by Dec. 1, Hodges said, they may bring their log back to their local library and receive their certificate of completion along with a reading star bag filled with rewards incentives.

Children may begin registering any time after Aug. 25.

The first meeting in September (details available at registration) will introduce kids to the exciting quests they will embark on during our journey.

“Please come by any branch to join “The Quest to Read More Crew” which promises adventure, knowledge, and great fun,” Hodges urged.

For more information please, call Hodges at 910-592-4153.
