A probe into June break-ins at two northern Sampson homes has culminated with the arrest of a 27-year-old on a laundry list of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Officers arrested Andrew Scott Rogers of 4716 Spring Branch Road, Dunn late Saturday afternoon, charging him with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, larceny of a motor vehicle and breaking and entering a motor vehicle, all felonies. In addition he faces misdemeanor charges of possession of stolen goods and larceny.

When contacted Monday afternoon, Sampson Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith said warrants were obtained in regard to the investigation of both a Benson Highway breaking and entering and one on Timothy Road. In the first incident, a four-wheeler, pressure washer and work tools were stolen. In the Timothy Road crime, a generator and tools were taken.

“Investigators worked hard to track down leads to close these cases and return the property to its owners,” Smith noted.

Rogers was placed under a $30,000 secured bond and remained in the Sampson County Detention Center Monday afternoon. He is expected to make his first appearance in District Court Aug. 1.
