Tarheel ChalleNGe cadet Isiah Nicholson presents Phil Harris, executive director of the Highlands Chapter of the American Red Cross, with a $1,000 check, funds raised during the Class 42 walkathon. On the morning of April 18,the group held the event, pledging 10 percent of the money collected to the Red Cross. The cadets were told how much it was appreciated and how the Red Cross helps in the aftermath of disasters such as home fires and storms, as well as helping soldiers and their families. The Red Cross gave the academy a first aid kit for the Academy.
