The Coharie Shooting League held its April trapshoot on April 12. Junior shooters, including Coharie’s own local shooter, Dane Westbrook, took all competitive events over the more seasoned adult shooters.

Ben Campbell from Pfafftown won the singles event with a 95 of 100. Westbrook won the more difficult handicap event with a fantastic 97 of 100 and was punched 1 yard for his efforts.

In handicap trapshooting, good scores push the shooter further away from the target and the object is to win yardage. Many long time adult shooters never achieve a score this high at handicap.

Jared Pettet from Pfafftown won the doubles event with 89 of 100. High over all is the combined scores of the three events andWestbrook won that event with 269 x 300 for his first ever HOA win.

Al Williams and Mac Herring manage these competitive shoots and said they were quite proud Westbrook.
