Local US Cellular associates teamed up last week with students from Sampson Middle School to work in the school's atrium area, planting shrubs, landscaping existing flower beds and painting the floor with materials donated by the cell phone company. It was, company officials said, a way for associates to make an Earth Day contribution, something US Cellular associates were doing a to help 'green up' local communities.
