Lydia Jackson, a blond, curly haired first-grader at Kerr Elementary School, is flanked by the remaining members of the cast of “It’s A Wonderful Life” during rehearsals. She is the first person to speak in the play as she announces “Welcome To Bedford Falls” and the large cast breaks into song with “This Is Bedford Falls.” Thus begins the beloved story that has become a Christmas classic about George Bailey, played by Nathan Carter, being driven to the brink of suicide before a wingless angel in the form of Gary Wilson is able to show him how many lives he has affected by being the head of the Savings and Loan. One of those affected are Mr. and Mrs. Martini (Theresa and Guy Padgett) who are so ecstatic about getting a loan for a new home they sing and dance all over the stage.

Many thanks to Jordan Shopping Plaza and Matthews Drugs and Gifts for their sponsorship of this show. We hope to see you this and next weekend at the Sampson Community Theater for a great production of “It’s A Wonderful Life”.

Kaitlyn Royal, the recently named “Outstanding Teen of Benson,” is collecting food for the Food Bank in Salemburg so we are asking everyone who comes to see “It’s A Wonderful Life” this or next weekend to please bring a can of food with you. Kaitlyn will have a box in the lobby that you can place your food can in and she will deliver it to the Food Bank when the show is over. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause and thanks to Kaitlyn for making this her major project.

2014 Patron Sponsor tickets are now available for a donation to the theater. These consist of two complimentary tickets to every show we produce in 2014. • Money is neither good nor bad, the results of your use of it will determine its usefulness.

• A timid question will always receive a confident answer.

• What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.
