The five ladies who comprise the cast of “Dixie Swim Club” have been very busy for the past six weeks or so learning their lines, choosing their costumes, obtaining props and decor for the set, learning to interact with their peers and attending rehearsal after rehearsal. They, along with director Kathy Day, are now ready to entertain you with six performances at the Sampson Community Theatre with the first show at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21.
The cast is not the only ones who have been busy because Owens Home Furnishing, Inc. has been busy delivering tables, chairs, sofas, and wall decorations to change the stage into a living room of a beach cottage on the Outer Banks. Also Dan Holland and Gary Wilson have been busy constructing the set over the weeks. So as they say, the stage is set for you to be entertained as all the talent evolves into a united whole for you to enjoy. Show your appreciation for all this hard work by visiting your community theater at least once over this and next weekend.
On Saturday Feb. 22 at 10 a.m., Tom Wilbur will be holding auditions for a Neal Simon mature comedy “Barefoot In The Park”. Both male and female roles are up for grabs so be sure to show Mr. Wilbur what you can do. Performances in April.
2014 Patron Sponsor tickets are now available for a donation to the theater. These consist of two complimentary tickets to every show we produce in 2014. Contact any Board Member to obtain yours and be entertained all year. If you would like a Gift Certificate for family members or friends they may be obtained for half the Patron Sponsor donation and you may get as many as you like by calling 990-1359.

Thoughts until next week:
• You can do anything, but not everything.
• When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel bad, and that is my religion…….Abraham Lincoln
• Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
