A 23-year-old Garland man was arrested Tuesday on marijuana and cocaine charges following a vehicle stop for a traffic violation on Hell Town Road near Garland.
According to Sampson County Sheriff’s Department reports, Adarius Rakim Owens, of 66 Davis Road, Garland, was taken into custody around 1:12 a.m., after deputies discovered drugs in the vehicle he was driving.
He was charged with one count possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver and one count possession with intent to sell or deliver.
Confiscated during the arrest, reports show, was 0.25 ounces of marijuana and 0.80 grams of cocaine.
He was jailed under a $30,000 secured bond and is expected to make his first appearance in Sampson District Court Friday.

2/25 - Thirty-four fan motors for an industrial fan valued at $125 and four feed motors for feeders valued at $125 were stolen from a farm building on Hayes Chapel Road near Rose Hill. Damage totaling $12,000 was also reported to wiring work.
