DERRY, N.H. — Pauline Faye Fortier, 70, died Wednesday Jan. 29, 2014 in Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, Feb. 3 from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry.
She was born in Turkey, N.C. on Sept. 25, 1943, a daughter of the late Thurman and Macey (Mcgee) West. Faye had been a resident of Derry for the past 50 years, having been raised and educated in Turkey, N.C. Faye loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband William A. Fortier of Derry; one daughter, Karen J. Bennett of Chester, N.H.; two sons, David A. Fortier and his wife, Lisa, and Michael J. Fortier and his wife. Michelle, all of Londonderry, N.H.; six grandchildren, Cyndie, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Shawn, Joseph, and William; two great-grandchildren, Jaidyn and Aleah; three sisters, Gladys Horne of Turkey, N.C., Ann Hudson of Columbia, S.C., and Sarah White of Turkey, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; as well as many lifelong friends and neighbors.
