Halloween haunts in downtown Clinton


Dressed as witches, Sheila Barefoot, director of the Sampson County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Kaitlin Adkins, executive director of the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce, pass out candy to trick-or-treaters during last year’s Halloween on the Square in Clinton. This year’s event will extend from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (tonight) along Main Street in downtown Clinton, featuring a trunk or treat, costume contest and music by the Boogie Shoes Network. Hwy. 55 and Alfredo’s will also be open for dinner during Halloween on the Square, which is sponsored by the Clinton Main Street Program, in partnership with the Sampson Arts Council and Clinton Recreation Department.
