The Hobbton Wildcat baseball season came to an end Wednesday night at the hands of the Spring Creek Gators. The final was 10-0 in 5 innings.

The Wildcats managed to get 1 hit in the game. Gary Hall got the hit but died on base with outs. Gregory Herring got on base on an error.

Wildcat coach Les Spell said, “I proud of where we wound up in the playoffs. Its a hard pill to swallow right now, but I think when we look back on it in a couple of weeks, we’ll be proud the work we did this year. We have a really young team, losing 1 senior. We expect to be much better next year.”

Spring Creek coach Heath Whitfield said, “When I saw Hobbton on the bracket I was a little worried. They came up late in the season and beat both Princeton and Rosewood. I knew I would have to keep my boys up and focused so we didn’t look past them. I think we did that.”
