Wildcat volleyball fell hard on Tuesday against Princeton, as both the junior varsity and varsity lost to the Bulldogs.

Hobbton’s JV came close in both games, but just couldn’t find those last two points to take the game. They lost 23-25 in both sets. Hobbton’s record falls to 2-1 in conference and 4-3 overall.

Head coach Russell Jones was proud of his team and said they never gave up.

“Those games could have gone either way. If we had one more good block or one more good hit then we could have won. I know we played hard until the very end,” he asserted.

The varsity was a different story. They lost in 3 sets; 4-25, 13-25, and 2-25.

“Princeton is by far the best team we’ve seen so far this season. They had it all together. I can’t make any excuses for us. We just didn’t play well at all,” he said.

Hobbton will travel to North Duplin today (Thursday).
