The Clinton boys soccer team dominated 3A Cedar Ridge on Friday night at Wake Med Park in Raleigh. The Dark horses left the field with high confidence in their team and a final score of 4-1.


“I was very pleased with the way the boys played. We had a tough loss on Thursday, so it was good to have a nice win. Cedar Ridge was a strong team, and I’m just really proud at the way my team played. We begin our conference play soon, so I hope we are prepared and are able to move froward,” said Clinton’s head coach, Brad Spell.


For the Dark Horses, Wyman Faison with scored 2 goals; Luis Aguilar scored 1 goal; and Edwin Acosta scored 1 goal.


Clinton is now 4-1-1 overall and their next game will be the first conference game against Pender at 6 p.m. Monday in Darkness Stadium.
