The Hobbton Wildcats and the Rosewood Eagles battled it out Friday in conference baseball action. The Eagles slipped by with a 6-4 win.

Rosewood jumped out to a 3-0 lead. The Wildcats fought back and tied it in the 4th at 3 each.

For the Wildcats, Hunter Britt was charged with the loss pitching 5 innings with 5 strike outs. Reid Justice pitched the clean up innings. Gregory Herring was walked twice. Michael Bass was also walked. Daniel Villagomez had 1 RBI.The Wildcats had 3 hits and 2 errors. Rosewood had 8 hits and 4 errors.

Hobbton’s coach David Bannister was pleased with the way his team played. “I feel like we played well tonight. The last time we played Rosewood they beat us 10-0, so it was a big improvement. I was disappointed with a few of the calls tonight as were some fans, but that’s part of it. We handled ourselves well and we have more potential than we originally realized we did,” said Bannister.
