Clinton’s Lady Dark Horse soccer team played a conference match at Union on Monday night. The visitors jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they finished of the Spartans early in the second half, shutting out the home team, 9-0, improving their conference record to 11-0.


The loss for Union ended their four game win streak. Union had been playning some of the best soccer in the conference. Knowing how well Union had been playing makes the impressive victory by Clinton even more impressive.


Aliana Capps led Clinton’s offensive attack with four goals and an assist. Katey Yang and Hannah Smith added two goals each, with Halla Gilpin firing in a goal. Gilpin and Smith assisted on two scores each, while Reagan Barefoot and Aliana Capps assisted on one goal apiece.


The Lady Dark Horses travel to Harrells on Wednesday night for a match against non-conference foe Harrells Christian Academy
