There were 45 people for glowball on Saturday, May 10th at Lakewood Country Club. The format was 4 person superball. We played nine holes in the light, which was the back nine. Then, everybody came in to get food fresh off of the grill while we waited on complete darkness. We played the front nine in the dark. Glow in the dark stakes were put in the ground outlining the pond areas, and glow in dark stakes were driven in ground to verify teeing grounds. Last but not least, the golf pins had glow in the dark sticks attached to the flags, and an insert was put in the hole to make it glow when you were on the green putting. Lakewood Golf Pro Curt Pritchard said,”Glowball is one of my favorite events, due to it being so unique and allowing individuals to get out and enjoy a night out with the guys or a night out with the family. Regardless of which path is chosen, it is something different and has a tendency to put a smile on everyone’s face that particpates.” Scores for glowball ranged from 63 to 71. the winning team was Bryant Bass, Kim Eisenhour, Mike Reese, and David Reese. Thank you all for playing and we look to do this again next month, about mid June. Watch for updates on our Facebook page as to when we will do this again.
