The Union Spartan volleyball squad rallied from a two game deficit to win their match against the Titans of Trask on Wednesday afternoon.
Union was a little sloppy and had some communication problems in the early going, as they lost the first two sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-11.
However, Union then began to play more as a team, winning the third and fourth sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-15, respectively, to force a tie-breaking game.
Union then won the final set 15-11 to keep their undefeated record alive.
“The girls played well later on in the game, and played hard the entire game,” said Union’s head coach, Krysten Moore. “It was nice to come back and get the victory, obviously. It was a definite team effort and I am proud of them for hanging in there and continuing to fight back when their backs were against the wall,” finished Moore.
Union is now 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. They are set to travel to Wallace in their next game.
