Well, I wanted to share this with all my friends and family.
I was born in 1971 at Sampson County hospital and when I was growing up in the Dublin area, I would come down here to spend the weekends with my grandparents until my mother and father separated in 1988. Then we moved down here and in Garland which is around 5 miles away from here.
We had police officers, rescue/fire department, and I do know that every year that goes by gets harder and harder to live — meaning everything goes up, making it harder to make it. I do know we lost the police department, then they hired the Sampson County Sheriff’s Department to take care of the Town of Garland, they done a fantastic job. Then last year, they lost the sheriff’s department. Now as you can see, they are losing the Garland fire/rescue and closed down the ABC store. Not that I care, because I don’t drink, but just saying how it’s all going down hill.
It does concern me very much because I do have family and friends living over there. So what’s going to happen to everybody over there when they get sick, with a heart attack, stroke, etc. When my mother got sick Tuesday, March 28,2017 my daughter called me and told me to call the rescue squad to my mother because she was bad off. She had got food poison and we had to wait on a rescue to come from Harrells or Clinton.
Wow. That town is going down, it really makes me wonder what is going on, because as far as I can remember, they have never been this low without a fire truck/rescue squad, police/sheriff.
This really got me wondering what’s going to happen next. The playground that they were suppose to be working on is great for the town. But what about the fire department/rescue squad or law enforcement? My opinion doesn’t matter about what they pass or decline in Garland. That’s all I got to say about this. But just to let all of you know, it really bothers me knowing that if anybody gets sick, they have to wait much longer for help.
Thanks for reading and please share if you would like. May God bless the town of Garland, N.C. I just had to get this off my chest.
Please enjoy your day.
