The Rebuilding the Tradition football camp held at Clinton High School was deemed a tremendous success by all those who participated.
Around 70 youngsters showed up from Sampson Middle and Clinton High to participate in the camp, which focused on honing football skills, with skills drills, team building exercises and much more.
Coach Jason Arnette, who heads up the Dark Horse JV coaching staff, said he was pleased with both the turnout and the success of the camp.
Arnette put the camp on along with former CHS and N.C. State standout Bryan Peterson with some help from coaches Mike Bell and Tyler Baxter and CHS players Ross Miller and Justin Edge.
In addition, former CHS and collegiate and NFL standouts L.C. Stevens (UNC, New Orleans Saints) and Nic Cooper (Winston-Salem State, Green Bay Packers) assisted the youngsters in their skills training exercises.
Volunteers Kirk Smith Jr. and Robyn Arnette were also on hand to assist the coaches and players.
Arnette offered special thanks to Dark Horse head coach Bob Lewis for allowing the camp to happen and be the success that it was.
