The Ironbirds of the Clinton Recreation pitching machine league capped a perfect season (10-0) beating the Riverdogs in the tournament championship last Thursday night. MOUNT OLIVE — Betty Ross Bishop, 74, died Monday, June 17, 2013 in a motor vehicle accident in Goldsboro.

The funeral will be Thursday, June 20, 2 p.m., at Tyndall Funeral Home with entombment following at Wayne Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, June 19, from 6 until 8 p.m.

She is survived by husband, Larry A. Bishop; son, Mark Bishop of Clinton; daughters, Vivian B. Lowman and husband, Curtis, of Clinton and Patricia B. Dietrich of Clinton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
