In John 15:7, Jesus says “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

I want to focus on the first part of this verse where Jesus says “and my words abide in you.” Saints of God, it’s important to be in Christ and it’s also important to have his “word” in you. I spoke some weeks ago about Christians folks reading their Bibles and I believe that’s how Satan can and has deceived so many Christians. If you don’t know the truth, you can be fooled, and so many of God’s children are fooled.

The devil is real and he is busy daily deceiving those who call themselves Christians because of the lack of knowing God’s word.

Yes I am in Christ and he is in me, but also “His Word” is in me and I need his word more and more today than I needed it even yesterday. The word of God will expose any darkness that Satan will try to lie behind. In Psalm 119:105, it says this: “thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” I challenge you during your devotion time to read Psalms 119 where it speaks about the “Word of God.” When the word of God is in you, no weapon formed against you (truly) will not prosper. They may form but they will not take you down, because you have a promise from God that’s rooted deep within your heart.

This is why so many Christians are falling away or backsliding — they have no word in them that will keep them. The word of God will keep you in the midst of wanting to quit; the word of God will quicken you and remind you of the Goodness of Jesus and all his benefits.

Saints get God’s word in you. I can’t stress this enough — read your Bibles daily.

Satan deceived in the Garden of Eden and is still doing the same as he did then today. I have a saying that “if you fool me once, shame on you, but if you fool me twice, then shame on me.” In other words I “should” have learned the first time. To the Christian man and woman wake up and see what’s happening all around you.

Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 “it is written Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every “WORD” that proceedeth out of the Mouth of GOD” which is your BIBLE!!!!!!
