Local law enforcement officers are currently looking for two men and a woman believed responsible for the Friday night armed robbery of a northern Sampson County grocery store.

Sampson sheriff’s reports note that the three entered Plainview Grocery, 5515 Plainview Highway, around 9 p.m. Friday, one carrying a gun and demanding money from the clerk inside the store.

The clerk reportedly gave the suspects the contents of the register and they, in turn, grabbed the cash and fled, leaving the scene in a burgundy Nissan SUV.

They were last seen turning off U.S. 421 onto Hawley Road.

Suspect description were released. Officers are looking for a black male, 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds, wearing all black clothing and a bandanna; a black male, 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds, with short dreadlocks in his hair and waring all black clothing; and a black female, 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds, with black and blonde hair.
