Betty B. Butler

CLINTON — Mrs. Betty Jean Bryant Butler, 71, of 60 Joyce Lane, died on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at her home.

A home going service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday Jan. 23, at New Life Outreach Ministries, 708 Sampson St. with apostle Marcus Becton officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandhills Cemetery.

Mrs. Butler was born Dec. 5, 1941 in Sampson County, to the late Lane Bryant and Mary Frances Barden. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Bryant, and a sister, Annie Grace Marshall.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter, Deborah Bryant of Clinton; and three sisters, Martha Edna Bryant of Clinton, Alice Frances Kirby of Clinton, and Mary Ellen Parker of Salemburg.

Public visitation will be held from 1 until 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremation and other times at the home.
