Mrs. Betty Jean Bryant Butler, 71, of 60 Joyce Lane died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at her home.
A home-going service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Hope Valley Funeral Chapel with Apostle Marcus Becton officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandhills Cemetery.
Mrs. Butler was born Dec. 5, 1941 in Sampson County, to the late Lane Bryant and Mary Frances Barden. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Bryant, and a sister Annie Grace Marshall.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter, Deborah Bryant of Clinton,; and three sisters Martha Edna Bryant of Clinton, Alice Frances Kirby of Clinton, and Mary Ellen Parker of Salemburg.
A public visitation will be held from 1 until 6 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 22 at Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremation and other times at the home.
