Glass windows and a BB gun were not a good combination for three downtown Clinton businesses over the weekend who became victims of a crime in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Clinton Police reports show that around 4:45 a.m. on Sept. 7, an officer on patrol in the downtown, and checking local Main Street businesses, noticed that three of them had windows that had been shot out by what appeared to be a BB gun.

Victims of the BB gun shooter included Butler’s Pharmacy, 208 E. Main St.; Greg Griffin, 299 E. Main; and Professional Eye Care, 124 E. Main.

Windows in all three businesses were cracked by a round from the BB gun. Estimated value of the windows was $100 a piece.

Officers are currently investigating the incident.
