Each year begins a new chapter, a new journey, and a new adventure. This past Tuesday, at the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meeting, it was filled with the enthusiasm of a new year.

The Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization run by a board of directors, members who are comprised of business and local community leaders from across Sampson County. This board oversees the Chamber and the function of the Chamber, ensuring we are meeting and exceeding our mission and opportunities provided for our members.

I am honored to be a part of the Chamber and to have worked with the 2012 president, Gary Mac Herring, and the 2012 Chamber Board of Directors. It is a privilege to work with a directors who are active and filled with vision, support, and dedication to the Chamber and the community.

This past Tuesday, 2013 Chamber president Michael Chesnutt, from Black, Chestnutt & Johnson, CPA in Clinton, congratulated outgoing president Gary Mac Herring, from Mary Mack’s in Newton Grove, and presented him with a plaque thanking him for his service and dedication.

I am proud to announce the 2013 Board of Directors, willing to be an active part throughout the Clinton-Sampson Chamber and Sampson County as a whole. They are:
