Crack cocaine sold
to undercover agents
In Wednesday’s issue of The Sampson Independent, a report about Marcus Donte Williams, 27, of 80 Lauren Wood Lane, Salemburg, being charged with six counts of selling crack cocaine should have indicated that three grams of the substance was sold to undercover agents during the investigation by Sampson County Special Investigation Division officers. Officials at the Sheriff’s Office said that the arrest report was incorrect and therefore the information in the July 18 story was also incorrect. The Independent regrets any confusion this may have caused.
