Sampson County Parks and Recreation wrapped up their first season of Senior League play for baseball and softball on Tuesday night, July 31.

Senior League contained teams across the county ages 13-15 years old for softball and 13-14 years old for baseball. Each district had one team to participate in each sport. Their teams played each other once at home and once away for a total of eight games per sport.

Ending the season undefeated, the Western Grasshoppers 13-15 softball team took home the season champions title. With only two losses, the Southern Sandgnats came in second for season runner-ups.

Also ending the season undefeated, the Western Cubs finished their first season as season shampions. With just two losses, the Southern Phillies finished the season in second place as season runner-ups.
