Do you bear God’s fruits?

In Matthew 7:20, Jesus says “ wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.”

I would like to ask you a question this week — can people see your fruits and know that you are a TRUE Christian? Or should I ask — can people look at your lifestyle and see that you are a born-again, blood washed, believer in Jesus Christ?

I am talking about producing fruits that please God and God alone. Many people are confessing to be Christians, but don’t bear the fruits of one. Jesus makes this as plain as it can be, about knowing who is “truly born again.”

If you are a Christian, you should be producing what is said in Galatians 5:22 “but the fruits of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, against such there is no law.” If you are not producing these fruits within your life on a day-to-day basis, which comes with the help of being filled with the Holy Spirit, you are sending a deceiving report to people.

Do you know of some people who confess with their mouths that they are Christians, but with their lifestyle (fruits) they say something different?

We are living in the last days, and people are wanting to give their lives to Jesus, but they look around and see nothing but rotten fruit from people. It takes the Holy Ghost to help you walk in the fruits of the spirit on this journey with Jesus. He is the one that comes and dwells within you to teach you how to love your enemies. He will teach you how to walk in meekness, and temperance, which is (self control.) Could that be the reason why it’s hard to see any Jesus in the lives of people?

There needs to be a filling or refilling in the lives of God’s people.

When was the last time you cried out for the Lord to refill you with the holy spirit? Yes, I know you have cried out for a new car, a new house and a new job, but have you cried out for God’s spirit to refresh you? To have all these things is OK, but life can throw some contrary winds that can drain you and leave you depleted and empty.

When he refreshes you with the holy ghost, you are able to then bear fruits that will “produce” and people will see that you are a born-again Christian. Jesus said in John 15:5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” This is my prayer for me as well as for you, that we will realize that we can’t do anything without him (Jesus) but with him we should be producing fruits that others can see.
