FAYETTEVILLE — Mr. Douglas Jay Peterson, Jr., 45, of 4111 Bent Grass Drive, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at his home.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Peterson Family Cemetery, Harrells.

Mr. Peterson, born in Wake County, was the son of Douglas Jay Peterson Sr. and Doris Marie Faircloth Smith. He was a computer analyst.

Mr. Peterson is survived by his father, Douglas Jay Peterson Sr. of Harrells; and his mother and step-father, Doris Smith and James D. Smith of Fayetteville; a sister, Ladonna Peterson of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 6 - 8 p.m.
