CLEMENT — Two Maxwell Road residents were arrested for possessing marijuana and heroin in a Thursday night drug bust that took place within 100 yards of Clement Elementary School.

According to reports, deputies with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Division conducted a search Thursday night at 3121 Maxwell Road in Autryville — the residence is across the street from Clement Elementary School — after complaints from neighbors about suspicious activity at the residence. During the search ,the deputies discovered two grams of marijuana and a gram of heroin.

The residents of the location, David Laylor and Angel Laylor, were taken into custody and charged with the following:

David Laylor, 20, of 3121 Maxwell Road, Autryville, was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin; manufacturing heroin; maintaining a dwelling for the storage of a controlled substance; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and maintaining a vehicle for the storage of a controlled substance.

Laylor was placed in the Sampson County Detention Center under a $12,500 bond set by Magistrate C. Price.

Angel Lanette Laylor, 17, of 3121 Maxwell Road, Autryville, was charged with manufacturing heroin; maintaining a dwelling for the storage of a controlled substance; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and maintaining a vehicle for the storage of a controlled substance.

Angel Laylor was placed in the Sampson County Detention Center under a $12,500 bond, also set by Magistrate Price.

“It’s disturbing to think that these individuals were peddling such dangerous drugs within eyesight of an elementary school and an athletic park,” said Sampson County Sheriff Jimmy Thornton. “It goes to show the careless disregard of drug dealers and abusers. I am extremely thankful to the citizens who called in and provided the information that allowed us to arrest these individuals.”

Should there be stiffer penalties for those found guilty of having drugs near a school?

Actually, I do get off on this. It's very stimulating to me. Only been two weeks? WOW. When it's two months later and I'm still flapping my gums about this then talk to me.

Good come back, miro...Did you think that up between Maury Povich's paternity test show and your Marlboro's? It's IQ, doll, not iq. What the hell is an iq?

Well you're the one who thinks poo can have an iq, how smart are you?

MOXY05"; you want to speak of intelligence, well when your IQ reaches 185 like mine let me know because I've forgotten more than you will ever know...so has David!

IQ of 185, huh? I doubt that. Answering a few questions on the back of a box Captn Crunch isn't an indicator of genious IQ. I wouldn't believe you were that smart even if Einstein took a dump and you were looking up out of the toilet.

David. Angel. You are both still losers.

Wow! What complete jerks...especially you "MOXY05". I suppose no one in your life has ever done anything wrong. Think again! I'm pretty sure most people know some one that has made a mistake. And to accuse people in David's life of not trying to help him; you're so very wrong. Yet again a fine example of some one assuming things about a situation they know nothing about. Do you people not have reading comprehension? No one has said once that they approved of the behavior! What friends and family are trying to express is their concern and love for some one that is an important part of their lives. We are all human and we love and support the people we love. Isn't there something in the Bible about forgiveness and not judging people lest ye be judged. And this is for you "MOXY05"; you want to speak of intelligence, well when your IQ reaches 185 like mine let me know because I've forgotten more than you will ever know...so has David!

Whatever they found wasent enough to do anything in the least.

Now, stop being a douche and saying im supporting them. Yes, i think they belong in jail for what they were doing, but that doesnt mean i have to be a tard about it and say i hate them for it. This is the turning point for them to get them to realize what they were doing to themselves. So yes, they need to be in jail for now.

BWill,

Could you spellcheck Miro's latest posting for me, please? There are several errors.

Thanks

Second chances???

How many chances have these two dim lights had so far? Miro, what have you done to help these two get off drugs? I bet you set back and said "Oh well". Seems to me that you have more intimate knowledge of their drug use and you, more than anyone else, should be held responsible for their actions. You stood by and did nothing. How dare you come on here and support these idots...You should be ashamed of yourself for letting their actions to continue. You call yourself a friend. You're pathetic.

WEZ,

Does someone actually "set back".

Come on, you know better than that.

grammar,grammar,grammar

Look, if you're going to be an ignorant ass then atleast read what i post before responding to me.

Like i said, the majority of those charges were blown way out of proportion and dropped. Again, DROPPED.

Whatever they found wasent enough to do anything in the least.

Now, stop being a douche and saying im supporting them. Yes, i think they belong in jail for what they were doing, but that doesnt mean i have to be a tard about it and say i hate them for it. Now, that said, stfu and go back to your sandbox and play.

Please, continue to support these geniuses. It's evident you're no better than they are. When you go on weekend visits to the jail, give them my best.

But again, they're in jail. You're still at some fault for what happened to them, and I'm laughing my ass off at all three of you. I guess you measure a person by the company he or she keeps.

Well if any of you screwed up, and im not talking about with drugs, it could be anything, wouldnt you want someone to have the heart to encourage you?

I guess some of us just believe in second chances. But oh well, its not like anything you say will make them stop from getting better. ;)

First of all, let's quit making excuses for these two jackalopes. I'm pretty sure no one held them down and forced fed drugs into their system. Miro, Cieres, saheluna ,and MsKittie, you read the articles and you know exactly what happened. How dare you defend these people because doing so makes you worse than they are. The previous posters are right, these two breeders are losers. You three knew they had a problem with drugs and you set back and did nothing, then you get ass hurt when they're caught. Tuff. They got what they deserve. You three have nobody to blame but yourselves because you failed. So, suck it up. They are going to prison where they belong and goodriddens.
