Currently placed second in their conference, the Dark Horse soccer team got another win Monday against Topsail. The JV team was able to tie Topsail.

As for scoring, goals came off Will Pearson, Weston Locklear, Austin Tyndall and Ryan Taylor.

This brings the JV record to 7-1-2 overall and 3-1-1 in the conference.

As for varsity, they were able to route Topsail 2-5, with the half time score 2-3.

According to assistant coach Jamie Williams, the goals were off Field Palmer with three, Jose Gallegos and Jonathan Jacobs.

Their record stands 14-3 overall and 6-2 in the conference. They are slated to play Northside away Wednesday and Swansboro at home Friday.

“We got to have a big crowd Friday or at least I’d like to see one anyway,” said Williams. “Swansboro is leading the conference and we are in second. It could make a difference for winning the conference or not.”
