DUNN — Mrs. Iree Edwards Autry, 84, of Casper Road, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at Harnett Woods Nursing & Rehab.

Mrs. Autry was born July 19, 1928 in Sampson County, the daughter of the late Tommy and Vera Naylor Edwards and is preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Autry; son, William Blake Autry; a daughter, Vera Alice Autry; six Brothers, Corby, Princeton, Vaden, Laskie, Clamon and Clement Autry; three sisters, Lucille Hobbs, Vennie Naylor and Eleanor Porter. Mrs. Autry was retired from Belks Department Store in Dunn and was a active member of Mingo Baptist Church teaching Sunday school, a member of Women on Missions and a former choir member.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25, at Mingo Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by sons, Robert Autry of Dunn, and Tommy Autry and wife, Susan of Dunn; daughters, Kay Pope and husband, Joe Dan of Clinton, Becky Godwin and husband, Ronnie of Dunn, Marie Gregory and husband, Webster of Dunn; grandchildren, Dawn Wrench and husband, Mark, Jill Lawrence and husband, Chris, Danny Joe Pope and wife, Kim, Wendy Smith and husband, Brian, Kevin Godwin and wife, Amanda, Loris Poper and husband, Larry, Carrie Godwin, Adam Autry and wife, Jaylan, John Autry and fiancée, Victoria Clark, Marcus Gregory and wife, Courtney, Taylor and Ethan Gregory; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Saturday, Nov. 24, from 6 – 8 p.m., at Cromartie-Miller and Lee Funeral Home in Dunn.
