Leopards faced a hard loss against Village Christian in Monday night’s non-conference game. The final score was 0-10.

“They had a really good pitcher tonight, and we just didn’t hit the baseball like we’re capable. We hit the ball pretty good, but just couldn’t produce any runs. Until we do, it will be like what’s happening to us right now. We just need to regroup for tomorrow’s game against James Kenan,” stressed coach Larry Bass.

Jayden Herring was solid, as usual, and went 2-2, with 2 stolen bases. Carlon Cannady was 1-3.

On defense, Ross Strickland pitched strong for the first 2 innings, Garit Hall came in and pitched for 1 inning, Tyler Avery pitched 2 innings, and Nick Jordan came in the last inning to pitch for the Leopards.

Lakewood travels to cross-county rival James Kenan on Tuesday night.
