Lions award scholarships
The Clinton Lions Club recently awarded scholarships to two Clinton High School students. Recipients for 2012 are Stephanie Czarkowska, left, and Gabrielle Thornton. Czarkowska is the daughter of Barbara and Darek Czarkowski, and is currently entering Western Carolina University this fall in the pre-med program. Thornton, the daughter of Debbie Tyndall and Everette Thornton, is currently entering the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in the pre-law program. (Steve Cox/Lions Club)
